UPDATE - August 2018
I haven't posted on here in years, and I've thought about just getting rid of this page entirely, because it doesn't represent my interests today. What do I mean by that? Well, native issues were never my biggest concern in life. I made some comments on a forum 9 years ago, ran in provincial politics in 2013 because I saw disgusting corruption in the Liberal government, and I genuinely wanted to stop it. Naive? Yes!
Why naive? One, I had no idea where I identified politically, but that seemed less relevant to me, than just being honest. Because ultimately, I think/thought honesty Is always the best policy, and people like honesty, right? Yes and no. Yes, people like honesty, right up until it makes them look at themselves. To take a hard look at one's self, isn't as easy as it sounds. You need to really assess what's in your heart. There are some people who will hear you out, then give you their opinion, and maybe both of you walk away learning something from the other. Some people like their news honest, straight forward and without sugar coatings. Those are the people who point out #FakeNews.
Then there's the other group of people who say they are for free speech, love open dialogue and discussion of most topics in our news. But they really don't . What they really like, are polished politicians that have the gift of the gab, basically, the ones who can sugar coat bad news, or honest news, lying through their teeth the entire time. But because they smile while doing it, have great hair (I know I have awesome locks, but I'm not in this group) they continue to vote these liars in, then wonder why nothing changes.
I legitimately thought my honesty, directness and genuine desire to speak up & STAND UP for the common man/woman, that I had a chance to get elected. I had NO chance, and I now understand that, but most of all, I understand why.
So jump forward from April 2013 when minister of transportation, Mary Polak held a press conference to call me a racist - to now, 2018. What's changed where natives in BC are concerned? Has anyone in provincial politics fixed native issues? No, not even close! We still have corrupt chiefs stealing money from their people. We still have dissent. We still have mistrust and we still have treaties that haven't gone anywhere. Did calling me a racist help the cause? No! And here's why. Those elected, even partially because of this particular topic, really don't care. They don't! They say they do at election time, because like with other societal issues, they get more airplay and discussion, because the politician wants your vote. They are pandering, plain and simple! If and when, these issues are really important, they will solve them, until then, they are talking points at election time. They will throw us a bone! It's no different than homelessness, healthcare pensions or the myriad of other issues effecting all Canadians. Politicians will promise you the moon, but how often do they deliver? You will never fix the ill's of the world by silencing discussion. Nothing will change, if every time you question government spending, no matter the issue, regardless of whether it's about natives in Canada, you call those objecting or questioning, a racist. Trust me, I get it now. It's how politics works. It's how those social justice warriors work. Call people a racist, they shut up, you win the argument. One problem though, it's not working anymore!
So what else has happened since my foray into politics? Canada elected a drama teacher. America elected a reality TV star and businessman. And everyone is now a racist..lol
Seriously, the word is so over used now, it has no meaning anymore. It's literally a catch phrase of the left.
This month, the mayor of Victoria removed a statue, because our founding Prime Minister is now offensive. Just the sight of the statue is enough to offend natives. I'm not making lite of their very valid feelings on some aspects of colonialism. However, removing statues doesn't remove history. Might as well burn some books while you're at it. Oh, and PS. Trudeau senior penned the "white paper" so he should certainly be removed from our history. Talk about racist! Then along come Trudeau junior, and he's going to make a federal holiday to remember the very thing that this statue was removed for. You can't even make this stuff up. This is the norm now, appeasement without substance.
Interestingly enough, PM Justin held a rally in Quebec the other day, and a lady yelled out, asking him about the $145M in taxpayers money, that's been spent on illegal border jumpers from the US. Guess what she got called? Come on, guess - you guessed it - racist! But not only that, "un-Canadian" because we aren't allowed to question illegal border crossings, or the wasted tax dollars we work hard for, being used to house people who have no respect for the rule of law. That, is now racist, and un-Canadian..WOW!
So, you see..what I said, pales in comparison to what the world is saying today. It only took a couple years and 2 polarizing politicians, but the silent majority seems to be waking from their stupor. We now have #FakeNews, shadow banning, blatant censorship, fascism running rampant on the left, and citizens who have had enough of it all..and I'm GLAD! Finally, people are engaged, and democracy will be all the better for it.
Now you see where my interests lay, and why what I said was important to say, even if at the time I said it in a non-political, somewhat flippant way. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy, even if you have to offend people to say it...say it anyway!
Truth isn't always easy. If it was, everyone would speak it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have created this page, because there is so much misinformation out there about me, courtesy of the BC Liberals and their love for not just dirty politics, but filthy dirty politics!. I'm quite sick and tired of the online bullying and hate mongering, and I'm not going to put up with it anymore! Some online trolls have decided to start a stalker page about me. They are spreading hate towards me, and on top of that, they (or someone from their cyber gang) hacked my Facebook, created posts and took fake screen-shots of those posts. They have used this hacked, faked nonsense to try and bolster their sad little hate page. Speaking of screen-shots. It took awhile, but this page has been called racist by my haters. Click here to see for yourself. Just a reminder, ALL the articles posted here are from THE MEDIA! If this page is racist, then all the media stories are racist. Grouping them together, compilation..is NOT racist..DUH!!
I may not agree with some native issues, and you have every right to disagree with me. But you DO NOT have the right to stalk me, try to intimidate me, bully me and spread lies and incite hate against me! Unlike these childish individuals, I actually care about all citizens in this country. Everyone has the right to live peacefully and without fear. Everyone has the right to free expression, and everyone has the right to be heard! I am here to post news stories from the media across Canada that pertain to the subject these stalkers are so desperate to silence. I bloody well WILL post stories from grassroots natives that are also being silenced and threatened. I'm sick and tired of these people victimizing anyone who they disagree with, anyone who threatens the corruption, anyone with guts enough to stand up against them! The truth will be told!
If you want to know how I feel on a subject, then ask me! I don't get how our society, seems to have turned into a bunch of whiny babies, all afraid to speak out loud, but ballsy enough to troll people online and spread misinformation. When did society become so cowardice?
My real name is Dayleen Van Ryswyk, I don't use fake names, I don't hide behind my keyboard and troll people. I'm straight up, I'm honest, I'm direct, I'm not politically correct and I'm unapologetic about that..deal with it!
If you are an overly sensitive, whiny, cry baby who thinks freedom of speech only applies to your own opinion..then you may not want to read this page, because I talk about controversial things here..grown up things, things most Canadians want to discuss. This is not a page where bashing happens, this is where real facts are posted.
Let's face it, you probably got to this page because you read some nutty story, telling you that I said something shocking, radical and "racist"..GASP!!
For the record, If you dare to question the Indian industry, If you disagree with the Indian Act, If you wrongly believe that all races, sexes and religions should be treated equally, then YOU might be a radical..lol. It has become acceptable somehow, for free speech to be silenced, the second you disagree with the status quo. I have never been a follower, I'm not a sheeple. I'm free thinking and I question things that don't make sense to me. I don't think I'm better than anyone, I don't think anyone's better than me. You might be richer or smarter or better looking, but you are not better :)
I believe strongly in equality! Not fake equality, but real equality, where special rights and privileges and laws aren't given to one group, but not the other. When I see hypocrisy, I tend to feel obligated to speak out.
What did I say that started all this fuss? Here it is
So there's no confusion. Here's what I said online back in 2009 on the Castanet forum. The title of the thread was called "Strip them of their status cards" The thread was started by someone named BoB76 and has 6 pages of responses. Not one person disagreed with what I said, the forum didn't ban me for making "racist" comments. The moderators rule with an iron fist, but didn't think my comments, or anyone else's for that matter, were offensive or broke their rules. No racism, no hate speech..no fuss what so ever until the Liberals made a mountain out of it, 4 years later. Interestingly enough, Castanet put up a poll asking if people agreed with my comments and over 74% agreed.There was even a poll on, if you'd vote for me. There was overwhelming support for me..right until the poll was hacked, and the Liberal candidate given more votes..lol..I kid you not! Here's the link to the thread. http://forums.castanet.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17562
Here are my comments, in their entirety.
Comment #1;
"It's not the status cards, it's the fact that we have been paying out of the nose for generations for something that isn't our doing. If their ancestors sold out too cheap it's not my fault and i shouldn't have to be paying for any mistake or whatever you want to call it from MY hard earned money. My husbands parents lived during the war in Holland, when the Germans came and told them to get out..they lost everything...are they getting a paycheck every month or a huge lump sum every year tax free...no..they got nothing but work in a concentration camp. It's time our generation stopped paying for the mistakes of the past...let us all be one people...THE SAME..race, creed colour or gender shouldn't matter anymore in this day and age...enough is enough already."
Told ya...don't get me started ..LOL
My second comment;
"I don't think anyone is saying that wrongs didn't happen (incredible wrongs) you could have almost any race, group or ethnic people tell you horrible haunting stories of what happened to them. If someone did me wrong, it's my right to sue...as it is everyone else's. In my opinion, holding an entire group of people liable for something that happened hundreds of years ago, people who weren't even alive yet for the wrongs of their ancestors is ridiculous. Again, how many Jewish, Polish, Russian, Dutch etc walked into a gas chamber, we're gunned down, raped, tortured and starved to death....tell me...how many Germans do you know that are handing over a potion of their paycheck EVERY month for what happened NOT very long ago (in all our parents life time)...none...that's how many are paying for those wrongs. I'm not given a free ride, i work very hard for everything i have and 40% of it goes to taxes. This native handout isn't from the government...it's from the over worked calloused hand of every single TAX paying person in this country. The government is nothing more than a big black hole that feeds off the working man, sucking his last penny from his hand so they can give it away freely or lose it stupidly on things like fast ferries and about a zillion other stupid things. I'm not so ignorant as to think there will ever be total equality...there never will, as long as there are people or groups of people that think they are better than others or deserve more than others. I hope that in the not so distant future the hatreds of the past can diminish and we can truly move on as a people that are all here together trying to make the best of what we have and not standing with our hand out screaming "you owe me". In my opinion. we have paid our debt...a thousand fold..it's time to move on, heal and grow. If the native people are to be the proud nation they keep talking about, then stand on your own two feet and hold your heads high. There are a lot of things to be proud of, stop dwelling on the past. Because like the economy...the gravy train bubble will eventually burst too."
Of course I know that some money is in fact being paid to "some" Jewish people. However, the point I was making, was that it isn't like the natives. "Compensation" from world war 2 is limited. My husbands family got nothing, yet they lost everything. His father was torn away from the family and sent to a German work camp. Plus, it's doubtful, that generation after generation, into perpetuity, will there be "compensation" made to these families. Whereas, the natives have been paid for generations, and will be paid until the end of time. Therefor, what we as taxpayers are paying, isn't "compensation" at all. To call it "compensation" would imply that there is an end to the payment. If paying money and giving privilege, to people who weren't even alive when these events took place, isn't "compensation", then what is it?

I could go on all day, posting comments like this, because this is what most Canadians think and feel about the Indian Industry. It isn't racist to disagree with what's become political correctness. This is why I have said repeatedly, that we need a referendum in this country. We have the natives being represented at the table and the government being represented at the table, but the taxpayer isn't being represented. The government of the day, is most often pandering to and appeasing a group of people, who when they don't get their way, threaten the very economics of this country that pays for the Indian Industry. It seems counter productive to me, to blockade and threaten your source of income, but they do it. It's about as ridiculous as a Walmart worker protesting Walmart but then being surprised when there's no paycheck.
I've been told on many occasions by natives, that taxpayers money isn't used for natives. I'm serious, they say that! So, if we took that as truth, and looked at where they say their funding comes from, which is resources. Why would you protest the very thing you say funds you? I don't get it! Then of course, there's the fact that natives are making all kinds of deals allowing resource development on the reserves. So please, stop trying to tell me natives are against pipelines or resources development. Don't be confused by the professional protesters brought in to look like there's resistance to development. 100 people don't equal a whole province! Follow the money!
I will be posting more on this, please check back. If you have links or info you think is prudent, please feel free to forward it to me. I'm not interested in bashing natives, so save me the hateful nonsense. This entire site is here to give the other side of the story..because, there is ALWAYS two sides to everything. Don't bother trying to "educate" me, I'm educated..trust me! If you have some real tangible solutions to this issue, please share them. Canada can not continue with race based laws, segregation, 2 tier criminal code or any form of apartheid or discrimination. Equal = Equal...it's not that complicated!
